Blog post: Roadmap or dead end? Towards a 'digital single market'
You may remember the Commission’s promise to keep the number of new legislative proposals to a minimum? A clever way of doing so is mixing legislative proposals (or packs of proposals) with as many 'reviews', 'measures', 'inquiries', 'analysis', etc. as you can. And thus was produced a strategy to 'complete the digital single market' (and a promise not kept).

Joint Regional ccTLD Organisations (ROs) statement following the I* London meeting
The following are the key messages with respect to the IST that we, the Regional ccTLD Organisations (ROs), would like to convey:
- We would like to reiterate our commitment to a multistakeholder-driven and consensus-based implementation of the IST process, which should ultimately ensure a continued, sustained and robust performance of the IANA functions as it has been exercised to date.
- As ROs, we would like to re-emphasise our commitment to working together with the Country Code Names Supporting Organization (ccNSO) on the outreach to and engagement of all ccTLD operators in the process.
- We are confident that all the interested stakeholders will continue working together to finalise an IST proposal that meets the criteria of operational and organisational stability and security for the benefit of all internet users.

Digitaly: promoting digital skills among Italian companies with the .it registry
This initiative is aimed at accelerating the growth of the web economy in Italy and supporting the digitalisation process of SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises). There are about 4 million SMEs in Italy, of which 95% are micro-enterprises. Not only would this process improve their positioning within the domestic market, but it would also push up exports.
More specifically, Digitaly aims at accelerating the internationalisation of enterprises and consequently increase exports of the 'product'; it also aims at closing the gap between the traditional Italian-made export products and the digital economy through 'training pills' found online at www.digitalyimprese.it and dozens of dedicated meetings throughout the national territory, wherever traditional companies would open up to 'digital' firms in the same areas.
Over 30 events have already been programmed throughout Italy: the confirmed upcoming dates include 6 May in Pesaro/Ancona, 23 May in Florence, 12 June in Cremona, 27 June in Naples, 9 July in Catania, 22 September in Pescara and 10 October in Pisa.
