CENTR is delighted to announce that last week, during its 63rd General Assembly in Ljubljana, members elected three new members to the CENTR Board of Directors: Barbara Povše (Register.si), Philip Du Bois (DNS Belgium) and David Fowler (CIRA). They join Danny Aerts (Internetstiftelsen) and Hilde Thunem (Norid) who were elected on 22 March 2019. Barbara was also elected Chair of the Board.
The CENTR Secretariat would like to take this opportunity to thank the outgoing Board members, Jörg Schweiger (former chair of the Board, DENIC), Pierre Bonis (Afnic) and Irina Danelia (Coordination Center for TLD .RU/.РФ) for their valuable and committed work over the last four years.
On her election, Barbara notes that, “CENTR is a strong, solid brand, that stands for European ccTLDs, policy and technology expertise and that is a role model for other regional organisations. The chairmanship of the Board of such an organisation means a great honour and even bigger responsibility. But together with such experienced members on the BoD and the knowledgeable CENTR staff, as well as with our enthusiasm, we can strive to make CENTR even better!”
