News 28-01-2025

The CENTR Jamboree 2025 is all set to take place in Lyon from May 21st to 23rd, hosted by our colleagues at Afnic!

The goal of the CENTR Jamboree is to bring together peers, experts and leaders from various registries in a collaborative gathering, designed to foster knowledge exchange, discuss shared challenges, identify opportunities for collaboration and build professional networks across the European ccTLD industry.

We are looking for various session formats, including interactive presentations, panel debates, group discussions, lightning talks, and training sessions.

The proposal submission deadline is March 28th, with the selection announcement on April 8th - Please submit your proposals following this link

The CENTR Programming Committee, responsible for shaping the Jamboree content, will carefully evaluate all proposals based on set criteria ensuring quality and relevance. Selection criteria is the following:

  • Relevance for European ccTLDs:

Ensure that the proposed session is pertinent to the specific context and challenges faced by European country code top-level domains (ccTLDs).

  • Cross-WG Relevance:

Consider how the proposed session aligns with and benefits multiple Working Groups (WGs) within the organization, fostering collaboration and knowledge-sharing across different areas.

  • Balance of Interests across WGs:

Strive for a well-rounded agenda that addresses the diverse interests and concerns of various Working Groups, promoting inclusivity across different domains.

  • Avoidance of Commercial Focus:

Encourage sessions to prioritize informative content and contribute to the collaborative knowledge-sharing environment rather than placing excessive emphasis on commercial interests.

  • Rewarding Innovative Topics:

Recognize and encourage proposals that introduce novel ideas, topics not previously explored, or offer a fresh perspective on recurring discussions within the community.

  • Rewarding Detailed Session Descriptions:

Acknowledge and appreciate proposals that provide thorough and detailed descriptions of the suggested sessions, enhancing transparency and understanding.

  • Rewarding Data-Driven Proposals:

Favor proposals backed by data, referencing existing publications and other reputable resources, to ensure the credibility and reliability of the presented information.

  • Rewarding Interactive Formats:

Encourage sessions that adopt interactive formats, such as workshops or discussions, to actively engage participants, fostering a dynamic and participatory environment.

  • Rewarding First-Time Presenters:

Acknowledge and support individuals who are presenting or leading a session for the first time, promoting inclusivity and diverse participation.

  • Taking into Account Diversity:

Consider geographical diversity to ensure a global perspective, encourage gender diversity among presenters and session leads, and recognize diversity in the sizes of participating members, both larger and smaller entities.
