CENTR has released its latest report on the global domain market, highlighting a rebound in growth. The 300 largest TLDs recorded a median annual growth rate of 3.6% (12-month basis), the strongest result since 2022.
Regional and group trends diverged: Asia-Pacific ccTLDs grew to 3.7%, European ccTLDs slipped to 0.4%, and Latin American ccTLDs eased to 1.9%. gTLDs also gained momentum, with the gTLD300 rising to 2.1% and the top 100 gTLDs leading at nearly 7.0%.
Global registrations are estimated at 380 million. .com remains dominant with 161 million (42% of the market) but lost nearly 2 million names, while other gTLDs added more than 6 million to reach 51 million.
