In the past CENTR has received regular requests from the registrar community to join the CENTR membership during one of our meetings. On 30 September we are organising a meeting between European ccTLD registries and registrars.
The goal of the meeting is twofold. On one hand, it will allow registries and registrars to meet and broaden their personal networks. On the other, it will serve to facilitate the exchange of information on issues of common interest (such as the Network and Information Security Directive) and possibly, common projects (harmonised authentication and identification standards or EPP standards).
During the Open Day, we have also invited an industry expert to provide us with an update on the current domain market, the impact of the new gTLDs and how that affects the sales channels.
