The 21st Security Working Group workshop is held online

News 03-03-2021

For the third time since the last face-to-face meeting the CENTR Security working group gathered online for their first dedicated workshop in 2021.

On 23 February, 60 people from 26 organisations discussed topics like home router security, containers and compliance, and lessons learned from the CENTR Member Security Maturity Model's (CM-SMM) second benchmark. Furthermore, a session was dedicated to how basic registrar security requirements can be dealt with in the context of securing the whole supply chain, from registry to registrant, in the way the European Commission and ENISA envisage it. In this session basic registrar security requirements were looked at from a technical, a product owner’s and a policy perspective.

At the end of the workshop Anne-Marie Eklund Löwinder, Chair of the CENTR Security working group announced her upcoming retirement, encouraging interested working group members to consider a leading role and announcing the elections at the October workshop. Anne-Marie will remain active as Chair of the working group until 1 October. Together with Vice-Chair Kristof Tuyteleers it was decided that the working group will then move to the Co-Chair model.
