CENTR is hiring a Director of Strategic Initiatives (DSI)!

CENTR is a membership association which brings together national internet domain name registries such as the organisations that operate .de and .eu. Our members make the internet addressing system work.

We are looking for an experienced Director of Strategic Initiatives to join our small, fabulous team and serve our multicultural and multilingual membership.

The essence of this job is really about helping our members innovate by facilitating their collaboration.

You will be a project manager, coach, whip, MC, mediator, accountant, networker and advisor. All in one day.

Tasks and Responsibilities

  • Shape and lead large cross-community projects
  • Manage and support collaborative research projects
  • Follow trends in our industry and beyond: be our inhouse futurologist
  • Set up community training programs both online and offline
  • Organise and run training sessions on the internet ecosystem for policy-makers as well as the wider public
  • Engage in outreach activities and stakeholder relations in close coordination with CENTR’s Policy and Communication Teams
  • Support the group of Chairs and Vice-Chairs of CENTR’s six Working Groups and facilitate their annual Brussels meeting

Skills, Experience and Qualifications

  • Strong interpersonal skills, self-organised, service-focused and diplomatic
  • Excellent oral and written skills in English
  • At least 15 years of working experience, of which ideally 10 years in a membership-based organisation
  • Project management experience in a multicultural environment
  • Experience with project management tools
  • Familiarity with EU funding programs
  • University degree, preferably in Business Administration, International Relations or a tech-related subject
  • Fascinated by technology
